20 Best Movie Deaths Of 2015

Because who doesn't like seeing Jai Courtney shot in the head?

If there's one thing you can count on in pretty much every big blockbuster movie regardless of whether it's a PG-13 or an R-rated gorefest, it's going to be someone getting killed. The bad guy kills good people, then the heroes guys mount up to take him on and dispatch him: it's a formula that has persisted for decades with good reason. 2015 has seen its share of unforgettable movie deaths, from the utterly bizarre to the hilariously over-the-top, and of course, those genuinely grotesque murder scenes that leave a feeling of queasiness in the pit of your stomach. From the year's biggest tentpoles to an indie western you've probably never even heard of, this year served up every sort of imaginable death left, right and center, leaving us sad, busting a gut out of laughter, and possibly wanting to find the nearest bathroom. Before proceeding, bear in mind that the fate of a fairly minor character in The Hateful Eight and a huge spoiler from Star Wars: The Force Awakens are ahead...

20. Squashed Like A Bug - Ant-Man

After one of Darren Cross' (Corey Stoll) subordinates, Frank, raises objections about his proposed Yellowjacket technology, he confronts him in the bathroom and decides to test out one of his prototype weapons on him as revenge. Cross shoots Frank with a shrinking gun, which "malfunctions" and transforms him into a pulsing pile of goo. Cross then snarkly remarks that they haven't quite worked all the bugs out yet (bugs, get it?), scoops him up with some toilet tissue, and then flushes him down the toilet. It's one of the most grotesque and demented death scenes from any Marvel movie, but at the same time totally hilarious.
