20 Best Movie Fight Scenes Of 2015

The only list where you'll find Colin Firth, Dolph Lundgren and a T. Rex in the same place.

Taste in movies can be a very subjective thing; for one person The Godfather might be the best movie ever, end of discussion. For another it could be Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2; god knows how they reached that conclusion though. However there€™s one thing that tends to unite audiences together - regardless of taste, age or background €“ and that€™s a good old-fashioned punch-up. Cinema might be capable of many amazing feats €“ like transporting viewers to fantasy worlds or making them care about fictional people €“ but still nothing takes the place of a well shot fight scene. Watching a hero take on a villain, and beat the ever-loving crap out of them, is a thrill that never gets old. 2015 saw filmmakers finding fresh, creative ways to create scenes of people maiming each other horribly, and compiled here are some of the year€™s very best fight scenes. The films span every genre imaginable; from comedy to drama and even a bit of high-class Oscar bait. But in the end, only one can be crowned champion...

20. Kyle Reese Vs. The Original Terminator - Terminator Genisys

Terminator Genisys is a god-awful abomination that has €“ hopefully €“ convinced the world the Terminator series is dead. Between the confusing story, vapid action and terrible performances (can we all agree that Jai Courtney is never going to be a thing?) the movie firmly nailed the franchise€™s coffin shut. For all the badness there were occasional glimmers of hope - like Arnold Schwarzenegger€™s performance or the faithful recreations of the original movie €“ they just weren€™t enough to redeem it. One of the only set pieces that worked was Kyle Reese fighting off the original T-800; which briefly reminded the viewer the Terminator€™s are meant to be scary. The reactivated machine relentlessly pursues Reese through an empty factory, punching through walls and stabbing at him with a metal spike. It€™s a short, tense burst of action that stands out amidst the other noisy fights; and if people wanted to read into it the scene could be a sly acknowledgement the original Terminator will always be the best. That€™s probably giving the filmmakers too much credit though.
