Consumers around the globe have never had more access to a range of films and media products as we do right now. As we find ourselves trapped indoors and with cinemas closed, we thankfully have streaming services to help us get through these tough times.

The advent of Disney+ has been a significant addition, its cavalcade of old classics and new gems giving us something to take our mind off things. There are some interesting anomalies in terms of access to movies, like The X-Men franchise being there but no Logan, but there is still a wealth of movies to digest.

This list covers all five channels on the streaming service, with Pixar and Marvel unsurprisingly dominating this list. While all films across all time periods were considered, Disney's move from predominantly 'kid friendly' products to a wider range of genres and styles, on top of its accumulation of Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar, means the list is dominated by films from this century. With so many films to choose from there are a stack of films unlucky to not make the list, but priority was given to those films that entertained more than just the kids.

So grab your lightsabers and flying umbrellas as we explore the best movies currently available on Disney+.

20. Avengers: Endgame

The finale to one of cinema's greatest story arcs scrapes into the top 20 here despite its significant flaws. The first act more than matches everything from Infinity War, the death of Thanos and a jump forward in time to a post snap Earth proving a genuine shocks. The exploration of our heroes grief is explored in great detail, while the introduction of Captain Marvel and Antman makes sure the plot doesn't get too bogged down in the gloom.

The second act is a little disappointing, the time travel elements lacking any real sense of threat and dragging on for far too long. The film thankfully hits its stride once more for the truly epic final act, the action sequences proving to be the best eye candy imaginable.

There are so many highlights in the final battle, the return of those Avengers who died in the snap giving us a taster of what's to come. Be it Captain America, Iron Man and Thor teaming up to take on Thanos, the incredible re-entry of Captain Marvel, 'Giant Man' taking down an alien ship or Captain America picking up Thor's hammer, there is just a cavalcade of treats to be enjoyed.

The finale also packs a punch, with the heroic final act of Iron Man, a fitting farewell for the character who kicked off the whole MCU. Captain America gets a more 'rewarding' farewell, and ending the movie with him reunited with his love is a heartwarming way to wrap things up.

While he likes to know himself as the 'thunder from down under', Luke is actually just a big dork who loves all things sport, film, James Bond, Doctor Who and Karaoke. With all the suave and sophistication of any Aussie half way through a slab, Luke will critique every minute detail of films and shows from all eras- unless it's 1990's Simpsons episodes, because they're just perfect
