20 More Everyday Challenges Movies & TV Make Look So Easy

Hidinghorror A few months ago, I compiled a list of 20 everyday challenges that both movies and TV make look so easy, though in actuality, it takes a lot more effort to pull them off in that thing we call "real life." It was a pretty popular article, but the comments were what intrigued me the most. There were a lot of items which I realised I had omitted from my original list, which made me realise that there was room for a follow-up. Which is why I've decided to bring to 20 more everyday challenges that movies and TV make look so easy. Feel free to add your ideas in the comments section below and maybe (just maybe), if there are enough new suggestions from all of you fabulous readers, there might well be a third installment. Without further ado, then, let's get right to it: 20 more everyday challengers movies and TV make look so very easy, starting with...

20. Being A Writer

Ruby Sparks Starting off the list with a bang, movies and TV make being a writer look like a completely lucrative career that anyone can get into. It can't just be me that notices everyone is a writer in movies and TV these days. It's frustrating because it takes a lot more than saying "I wanna be a writer, so I'm going to write and it's going to be amazing" - and then everyone reads the first thing you write and douses you in compliments and manifestations of a dream you've had for, like, three minutes. Am I the only one who rolls their eyes when they hear that someone is a writer? Like, okay... of course you are. Somehow, I believe that you have done what hundreds of thousands of people weren't able to do by getting discovered for your gift, but I'm going to watch a movie about you plagiarising, or acting like a total jackass with your friends, or whatever. I don't know - it's just not as feasible a job as Hollywood makes it out to be. It's like being an actor. It requires a unique blending of skill and raw talent. Surely not everyone has this?

I am a college graduate of Penn State with two bachelors in the arts. When I'm not writing or performing, I am an SFX make-up artist for local up and coming films in the Houston area. I love horror movies, James Spader, and will watch anything suggested to me.
