We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: sex sells. In the illustrious history of this very site, two of the most popular articles ever published were our 10 Nude Scenes You Might Have Missed and the 10 Most Controversial Sex Scenes Of All Time, so it’s pretty clear that you lot enjoy a tastefully done nude just as much as we do.
This year, like all others, was a big year for nudity – with more film-makers pushing the boundaries of what can be considered decent, and more nudity sneaking into films we’d consider mainstream, the industry is booming, and with the 2012 successes of Magic Mike, and the mega-selling Fifty Shades book series titillating millions of women the trend shows no sign of easing.
And because of this apparent increase in demand, the quality of this year’s nude scenes took a considerable jump, both on the big screen and on TV. We saw some notable nude debuts from established actors, as well as some brand new faces (and bodies), and because they’re willing to put it all out there, it seems rude not to collect together the very best in one place.
So, in no particular order – because frankly it’s been remarkably difficult to think about numbers properly in the last hour or so – here follows the greatest moments of nudity from all of 2012, from TV and Film.

I’m glad to see Sandra Bullock’s nude bit from Chelsea Lately was included on this list, it was so surprising not just cause of her disrobing but also cause of how funny that scene was as well. Not to mention I always thought she was a natural beauty.

This is the second time I’m mentioning Piper Perabo on this site. I think her nude scene in Looper deserves some mention, as it is certainly a bold move to show breasts that are naturally small in an industry that prefers more enhanced assets.
If you found anything even remotely sexy about anything that happens in Killer Joe, there is something seriously wrong with you. Also the nude scene in Cabin in the Woods was meant to make fun of you.

Regarding Olivia Munn.. your go to movie for her is Iron Man 2? I mean really? She was in there for about 2 seconds, and I bet you 99% of the population have no clue who she played. I hate when writers do this stuff. How about actually include something she is known for.. like Attack of the Show, or just don’t bother mentioning anything at all.
This bothered me too…It was AOTS that had me fall for Olivia..not, as you mentioned her 2 sec in iron man 2…Guess the writer just looked up the most recent thing on imdb and went with that…
why would you include kristen stewart here? she’s as boyish as you can get. i’d give it to camilla luddington for best. ali cobrin of american reunion is very nice too.

I find it strange that many of your ‘nude’ scenes are in fact, only topless? I think it is an American thing to consider nude and topless the same. Very few American actresses ‘do nude’ whereas many go topless, which I think has something to do with your penis/breasts only rules over there.
