20 Idiotic Decisions Made By Characters In The Dark Knight Saga

The apex of superhero movies trilogies is arguably that of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight saga - innovative, unprecedented, brilliantly cast, thrilling, memorable and a cut above the rest, the British director - along with screenwriters Jonathan Nolan and David S. Goyer - brought Batman back from the brink of cheesiness and made him a cultural icon for a new generation of fans. Because of these movies, comic book movies were made mainstream cool. That said, they are not without their flaws. For all the brilliance to be associated with each and every chapter of the saga - Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises - these movies are also noticeably unsound in places. In a lot of ways, this makes them more far more interesting (especially so in the case of Rises, in fact) and has allowed for interesting debates and discussion to arise. In other ways, the errors prove jarring and distracting. Some of the more maddening aspects inherent to all three installments stem from the actions of the characters - though we're supposed to be dealing with some of the most cunning, intelligent and perspicacious people on the planet, it's surprising as to how many times these guys defy logic in order to help the plot along. We don't mean simple mistakes; we're talking about instances where even the dumbest person in the world would know what to do.
