20 Most Controversial Horror Movie Scenes Of All Time

19. Switchblade Romance - It's the Girl (2003)

bled Switchblade Romance/Haute Tension is a punishing horror film that emerged from France to collectively make the rest of the world take a huge horrified gasp. There is a mad killer on the loose, two friends Alex and Marie are stuck in the middle as the killer slaughters all of Alex's family and goes on to seriously menace the girls. In the film's big twist and most controversial scene, Marie is revealed to be the murderer. Apparently she is in love with Alex and doesn't want anyone coming between them. I found that with this scenario, I had to take a major suspension of disbelief. It is almost as if the director just suddenly came up with this idea mid film and inserted it. Nonetheless, lots of people like this film and the scene is definitely controversial.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
