20 Movies Starring Star Wars Actors In 2017

Hayden Christensen goes straight-to-DVD.

Disney & Warner Bros.

After the success of The Force Awakens and Rogue One, it's safe to say that Star Wars movies aren't merely back, they aren't merely here to stay, they're going to become a true force of nature as Disney realises just how easily they can continue to expand this mythos with more spin-offs and tangential films.

More and more talented actors are getting roped into the Star Wars bubble, but we shouldn't forget they also do other work throughout the year, sometimes on low-key indie fare, often high-brow awards bait, and sometimes simply other tentpole blockbusters (because those mansions don't pay for themselves).

Scouring the original movies, the prequels and the new set of movies, these Star Wars actors sure are keeping themselves busy with a huge array of projects, ranging from the immense to the highly questionable.

Here are 20 movies starring Star Wars actors in 2017...

20. Murder On The Orient Express - Daisy Ridley

Star Wars Episode 1 Mace Windu Kong Skull Island Samuel L Jackson
Lucasfilm

Release Date: November 22

Daisy Ridley's first post-Star Wars project is a Kenneth Branagh-directed adaptation of Agatha Christie's famous novel, as was previously adapted by Sidney Lumet so successfully in 1974.

Ridley will play Mary Debenham, the role played by Vanessa Redgrave in the previous version, a cool, calm woman who Poirot (to be played by Branagh himself) is suspicious of.

While Ridley is merely one part of a gigantic ensemble here, playing alongside Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Johnny Depp, Judi Dench, Michael Pena, Josh Gad, Michelle Pfeiffer and more, this should diversify her range and remind people that she's not just going to show up every for years for a new Star Wars movie.
