20 Summer 2018 Films You Aren't Excited About (But Should Be)
19. Where'd You Go, Bernadette
American indie auteur Richard Linklater is one of those filmmakers whose latest work is always going to be worthy of attention. Given that his latest has a cast that includes Cate Blanchett, Billy Crudup, Kristen Wiig, Judy Greer and Laurence Fishburne, it pretty much qualifies as a must-see right away.
Adapted from Maria Semple's novel, the comedy drama casts Blanchett in the title role as an agoraphobic architect, beloved by her teenage daughter Bee but constantly at loggerheads with the other local mothers. But when Bernadette mysteriously disappears, Bee endeavours to track her down.
Release: 11th May US, no UK date announced yet.
