20 Things Harry Potter Film Supporting Actors Are Doing Now

9. Katie Leung - Cho Chang

Katie Leung Cho Chang was a Ravenclaw Seeker with whom Harry was in love with for half the series. They briefly dated, but remained friends throughout most of the books. Katie Leung had never really intended to become an actress, and almost didn't stay for the open call audition for Cho Chang because the lines looked too long. She made her first appearance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, where she was linked with future Twilight star Robert Pattinson. Since Harry Potter, she hasn't done a lot of work, but it has all been significant. She starred in a Channel 4 drama series called Run, where she played an illegal Chinese immigrant who sells bootleg DVDs and cellphones on the streets of Brixton. It has also been announced that she will be starring in a BBC Two drama, One Child, where she will play a Chinese-born girl adopted by Western parents, who is asked to return to her birthplace to help save her biological brother, whom she has never met. In addition to these films, she has also been involved in live theater, including productions of Wild Swans, The World of Extreme Happiness, and The Merchant of Venice.

8. Bonnie Wright - Ginny Weasley

Bonnie Wright Ginny Weasley was the youngest of the Weasley children, and the only girl. She harbored an intense crush on Harry, but it was only after she got over it and started being herself around him that he realized that he actually did like her. She's an outgoing girl and a powerful witch, with a mischievous edge that she undoubtedly got from Fred and George. Unfortunately, although Ginny from the book is a great character, the movie version tended to get short-changed a lot of the time. There just wasn't enough time to explore how awesome she was. But Bonnie Wright did the best she could with the material, and she definitely has her moments of glory. Last year, she starred alongside Freddie Stroma in After the Dark, and was featured in two other independent films (Before I Sleep and The Sea). As of right now, she has two more films in production, a comedy called Those Who Wander, and a family film, All Hail the Squash Blossom Queen.
