20 Worst Performances In Superhero Movies

19. Sylvester Stallone (Judge Dredd) - Judge Dredd

Sylvester Stallone's interpretation of Judge Dredd was doomed from the get-go, considering that Stallone spends most of the movie not wearing the character's famous helmet, a cardinal sin which seemed like a total slap in the face to fans.

Even if you can bring yourself to forgive Sly for the helmet debacle, he mostly sleepwalks his way through the film, making Dredd a shocking generic action hero whose utterances of "I am the law!" end up more unintentionally hilarious than anything. Stallone didn't have much good to work with, but even so, his work here is mostly terrible.

Thankfully the comic book icon was finally done justice by Karl Urban in 2012's Dredd reboot, but Stallone's version still lingers as a reminder of just how badly A-list talent can bungle legendary superheroes.
