3 Reasons Why Man Of Steel Is Its Own Kryptonite

man of steel11(This article contains spoilers) In February 2006, four months before Bryan Singer€™s Superman Returns premiered, anticipation and buzz for the film was so high IGN reported that Warner Bros. were already €œgearing up€ for a sequel that would keep Singer on board, but scrapped the idea when the film failed to earn at least $500 million dollars worldwide. This past month Warner Bros. reported to Deadline Hollywood that screenwriter David Goyer and director Zack Snyder were on board for a sequel to Man of Steel before the movie premiered. After seeing The Man of Steel on opening night at a less-than-full midnight showing at a Manhattan movie theater that is normally standing room only for superhero movie premieres, it looks like, once again, Warner Bros. may have jumped the gun. With inflated ticket prices being what they are it€™s certainly possible the film may reach the magic half-a-million dollar mark this time around, but based on what I saw, I€™d say the outlook isn€™t particularly good because neither is the film. Although Goyer, Snyder, and co-writer/producer, Christopher Nolan have their talents, there are three choices they€™ve made for The Man of Steel that will keep it from being the kind of indisputable success that makes a sequel a no-brainer and would definitively trigger the forever-talked-about Justice League franchise.
