What else has he been in? Blade, Blade II, Blade Trinity, Demolition Man, White Men Can't Jump, Passenger 57 At 50 years of age (and only getting older), Snipes may be considered too old for the role, and he hasn't helped himself and his career with his tax conviction antics in recent times, but perhaps we shouldn't rule him out yet. Snipes was part of the early development for a Black Panther movie in the early 1990's and pushed hard for the role, but the fact that this was 20 years ago emphasises the earlier point about his age. But he is a 5th dan black belt in Karate so he certainly has the poise for the role, has imposing looks and he has portrayed another Marvel character in the successful Blade trilogy with great success, and is due to appear in the Expendables 3 next year, which would suggest he is still fighting fit and looking to get his career back on track. A long shot, given his advancing years, but he could do a job.
