5 Comic Book Characters Clint Eastwood Should Have Been On Film

4. Judge Dredd

Who dispenses raw justice; judge, jury and executioner style quite like Dirty Harry? Well in the mean streets of Mega-City One, Judge Dredd does. Dredd is a Street Judge, literally the law personified. He kicks ass and takes names like none other (aside from his fellow Judges) and unlike Stallone, Eastwood would have been perfect. The only thing that would have been a shame is that traditionally you never see Dredd's face and thus, Eastwood's 'make you shit your pants' stare goes out of the window. Still, there is enough to be said for his gravelly voice and grimace that I think you would still shit your pants in his presence. It would have been really great to see Clint let loose his iconic gunslinger persona in a sci-fi setting. Few people do violence like Clint...which is to say with the casual grace of a professional who know which side of the law he sits on and is totally OK with it. That is the kind of performance you need with Dredd. This isn't someone who can't sleep at night because he sees the faces of all the people he's killed. He's the guy that stacks 'em up and goes home and sleeps like a baby.
