5 Kids Movies That Will Save Your Sanity This Half Term

3. Harry Potter

If you've been living under a rock then you won't have heard of the bespectacled wizard and his merry band of chums - but you can be sure your nerdy kids have! He's some half human half wizard who finds himself attending a special school (not that kind of special) and doing battle with some evil, bald headed dude in a dress. Apparently HP is all the rage amongst the young 'uns! By far the best thing about letting your kids watch Harry Potter this week is the damn series will last the whole bloody week, thus rendering your home naughty child free for the whole holidays! Honourable Mention: The Star Wars Complete Saga 2. Ghostbusters They don't make them like this anymore - thanks mainly to Bill Murray, but that's a different story. Ghostbusters is a excellent supernatural action comedy that holds up over twenty years after its release and still manages to scare smaller kids, even though the CGI of the day was vastly inferior, and today's audience considerably more sophisticated. Your youngest kids may not sleep so great after this one but you can always threaten them with "A visit from the library lady" if they get on your nerves. Ghostbusters has wide cross-gender appeal for all ages, and if the kids fall in love with Stantz, Venkman et al then there's always the sequel plus the animated series to hunt down and make them watch. Ghostbusters is a classic, it always will be.
