5 Mouth-Watering Films To Watch Out For This Year

star trek into darkness 2012 was, on the whole, a good year for movies. The Dark Knight trilogy came to its stunning conclusion, The Avengers eventually came to be after six years of preparation, Daniel Craig was given a real James Bond film to do and The Twilight Saga finally, mercifully, ended. With movies like Life of Pi, Looper and the underrated Lawless also coming out in 2012, it's safe to say that 2013 has a lot to live up to. Of course, with the ending of 2012 comes trailers for the 2013 movies and we've been given a lot. Some look great, others look... well, others look like The Smurfs 2, but we'll concentrate on the good ones. Bearing in mind that I'm only going off films with trailers released, here are just five of the movies coming next year that you should look out for.

5. Monsters University

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sED6FRXIHJc Monsters University is the prequel to the 2001 Pixar film, Monsters, Inc. A long-awaited prequel, if you ask me. Monsters, Inc. is one of my favourite Pixar films and considering what they've produced, that's saying something. The prequel, as the title suggests, sees Mike and Sully back when they were in University and goes into the story of how the two met. I personally think this is a brilliant direction to take another Monsters film, as a sequel wouldn't make much sense seeing as the first film ended so perfectly. Of course, with this being a teaser trailer, there isn't an awful lot to be said about how the film looks so far. However from what little we are given, it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun and definitely funny. There's a lot of potential for the university setting with monsters too, there's a lot of things they can make fun of. Cameos from the first film are almost guaranteed too, I'd personally like to see cameos from Randall and, more importantly, Roz. My personal prediction, if Roz is in the film, is that she'll be incredibly attractive and lively, much unlike herself in Monsters, Inc. Cars 2 might have been a mess, though that was a clear cash grab. The Toy Story sequels have shown us that Pixar can handle making sequel films well and I certainly believe that this will fall into the category of Toy Story rather than Cars.
