5 Movie Heroes That Were Terrible Employees

green hornet Throughout cinema history there have been many iconic and courageous antagonists that have gone out of their way to be great individuals. While, there are many characteristics that define what it means to be a true hero, the quintessential hero is a valiant and trustworthy soul who puts other before them and strives to bring order and justice into the world. A true hero risks his/her life to help protect the people they care about. Lastly, a real hero would never purposely cause destruction to the place that they worked for. These types of heroes have not only helped save the day, but also managed to not betray, revolt against, or even destroy the company they worked for. I can€™t say the same for the heroes on this list. In fact, most of these characters have caused more destruction to their respective business than the economy. These five characters may appear to be the heroes, but they were horrible employees. Here are five movie heroes who were just awful workers.

5. Natalie Portman As Evey In V For Vendetta (2005)

v-for-vendetta-movie-screenshot-1920x1080-(3)_7508 Based on the comic series by Alan Moore, V for Vendetta was one of the surprise hits of 2005. For the horrible people who still have not seen this film, the plot involves a masked vigilante known only as the letter V as he attempts to liberate a dystopian London from a totalitarian government. V (Hugo Weaving) is an insane masked man with a weird obsession for alliteration, and he opens the film by blowing up the Old Bailey. It is not the caped killing machine that makes this list however; it is actually his reluctant partner in crime that is the horrible employee. Natalie Portman plays Evey, a production assistant of some sort that works for the British Television Network. One night when Evey leaves her home past the government-enforced curfew to go to some kind of office shindig, she encounters a few government thugs called €œfinger men.€ They stop to harass her and attempt to assault her, that€™s when the audience meets V. He steps in, murders the men, and saves Evey. He delivers a phenomenal speech with enough €œv€ words to make you want to read a thesaurus. V brings Evey to the top of a building to watch as one of London€™s most famous landmarks the Old Bailey, is destroyed in a sea of music and fireworks. After the obliteration of the Old Bailey, Evey becomes an accomplice to V and is now wanted by the British government. Why is she a terrible employee? She is unaware of her current fugitive status and tries to go back to her normal life after watching V blow up a building. She goes back to her broadcasting job only to find out that it is V€™s next target. A detective corners V as he tries to escape the building that is literally moments away from blowing up. So Padmé Amidala comes up behind the detective, knocks him out, and runs off with V. Not only does Black Swan save the now most wanted man in the country, but she also assaults an officer of the law. The man was just trying to stop the terrorist responsible for rigging explosives to the building she works in! Pretty sure that aiding a wanted terrorist is grounds for termination.
