5 Movies That People Wrongly Think Quentin Tarantino Made

5. Natural Born Killers

Natural Born Killers is a different kind of movie, a color-saturated mess: Just picture Terrence Malick's Badlands with a messy hairdo, new age punk, and lots of acid. That scene in Badlands where Kit and Holly are dancing in front of headlights, well, Natural Born Killers' Mickey and Mallory would be seeing something entirely different. They have similar themes, but Natural's is more pronounced: Mickey and Mallory are becoming famous from their cross-country murder spree, and what young couple wouldn't like that? Directed by Oliver Stone, the movie blends graphic violence with a stylized, sickly romantic, and ultimately empty vision. It's exciting at points and the visuals are always fresh, especially when blended into the perspective of the lovers trippy minds, but it feels a little derivative of just about every runaway movie out there.
