5 New Characters We're Excited To See In Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

5. Joey Canelli (Ray Liotta)

As readers of Frank Miller's graphic novels already know, Joey Canelli isn't exactly a pivotal cog in the long-term narrative machine. Being privately investigated by series stalwart Dwight McCarthy, Joey's involvement is far from deep and we doubt that that will change for a film that already has a lot on its plate story-wise. Fortunately, the character is at least being portrayed by Ray Liotta, who seems like such a perfect addition to the world of Sin City that we can only hope that Joey's role is expanded, if even just by a fraction. Liotta's bound to bring his A game and make the most of what screentime he gets. Though the film is serving up a healthy helping of new characters, many of whom have much larger designated roles by virtue of the source material alone, Liotta's presence, however brief it may end up being, is enough to make us excited to see him in the film.
