5. Who Is Vin Diesel Playing?
What is likely to be the first of much casting speculation is Vin Diesel's role with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What we know so far is that Diesel has met with Marvel and there will be an announcement coming at the end of this month. But in an interview, Diesel went through some of the backstory of two Visions as an example of the many characters and variations of characters Marvel has in their library, he changed his profile picture on Facebook to the Vision, and he said in another interview that his role would involve a love story. The love story aspect has led to speculation that Diesel may play Thanos, given his love story with Death. But the love story could also hint at the romance between the Vision and the Scarlet Witch (who may also appear). This, combined with Diesels hints and now the revelation that Ultron, who created the Vision, will be the villain, seems to point to Diesel being cast as the Avengers resident synthezoid. Or perhaps Diesel will play Ultron? Or, given that Ultron initially appeared commanding a group of supervillains, maybe Diesel will play one of those?
