5 Reasons It's Time To Love George Lucas Again

5. He Inspired Great Filmmakers of Today

There€™s no doubt that George Lucas and Star Wars has inspired a multitude of current filmmakers that we love today. James Cameron, JJ Abrams, Joss Whedon and Peter Jackson are a few of my very own favorites that I know George Lucas inspired. I feel it€™s safe to say that without George Lucas and the film world that he revolutionized and arguably changed forever, we may not have had these filmmakers bring us the entrainment they have. We would have missed out on the chase that was the T-1000 hunting down John Conner, the show LOST that kept us captivated for 6 seasons and continues to be the bench mark for new shows, the ensemble gold that was the Avengers, and the world of Middle Earth brought to realization. All of these men can trace their inspiration to George Lucas and Star Wars as well as the countless others that I haven€™t even bothered to mention. Because of George Lucas, I can trace my own love and passion for cinema back to him. The Star Wars films are some of the earliest I can remember witnessing and I€™ve been in love with them ever since. I have had so many of my own personal experiences in my own life thanks to this man and the world he created. And I€™m just one person. I€™ll never be a bigwig filmmaker or screenwriter but because of Star Wars, my own creative mind has had the chance to wander from an early age to the life I live today.
