4. Snyder Vision
Though many fans are apprehensive about his taking directorial reigns from Nolan, I maintain that Snyder is the perfect choice. He lifted 300 from the graphic novel with 100 % accuracy. Im also in the minority of people who loved Watchmen. It was, again, very faithful to the graphic novel, and perfectly emulated its visual style. That opening apartment battle between Ozymandias and the Comedian? Incredible! It was like Snyder took the original frames from the graphic novel, turned it into a flipbook, and choreographed it into a ballet. Now imagine what Snyder can do with Superman. Imagine a still frame of Superman taking flight for the first time, translated into a Snyder-fueled high-speed missile. Even from the trailer we can get a sense of just how great his flying is going to look. In terms of his comic book aesthetic, attention to detail, and astounding ability to make frozen images come to life, Snyder is the perfect person to fly Superman out of the comic book pages and onto the silver screen. Snyder is certainly Nolans superior when it comes to directing action sequences. A common complaint about The Dark Knight movies was that the action was poorly shot and edited. With Snyder on board this will not be a problem. 300 only worked because the action scenes were so well staged and executed, same for Watchmen. For Man of Steel, I have no doubt that the action scenes will be phenomenal, particularly from the short glimpses weve gotten from trailers. Batman Vs. Bane? Please. Were gonna see Superman vs. General freakin Zod. Bane and Batman swinging haymakers at each other was admittedly awesome, but its gonna be nothing compared to an aerial face-off between Superman and Zod. This shot from the trailer is proof enough:
