5 Ways X-Men: Days Of Future Past Should Setup Future Sequels

Professor X Days Of Future Past X Men This is the age of the Superhero movie. With the success of films like Man of Steel, the enormous Avengers franchise, The Dark Knight Trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man the genre couldn't be more popular. However while many franchises were born and have died since it first started in 2000, there's one series of films that has kept going on after 13 years, 6 films and at least three potential sequels in development: the X-Men Franchise is with any doubt one of the best ones out there. After the failure that X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine meant to the franchise, and a much needed shot in the arm, things are going pretty well for Fox's superhero movies. First Class was an excellent film and The Wolverine is definitely one of the most badass films of the year, and with Days of Future Past meaning the return of Brian Singer to the series he started, things couldn't look better. Despite how well things are going for them right now, the hardest challenge is still to come. For some reason a lot of people were pretty angry that the man who gave birth to the franchise is back for this next installment, and as we all know fan backlash is never a good thing for a big-budget production like this one - and to add extra pressure, since the upcoming installment appears to be a big game changer, the franchise depends on this film. There are two important factors that always decide the future of a franchise: box office success and the way the film sets up the rest of the franchise. Right now we can't speculate much about how much will this film make at the box office (though financial success would seem a bankable guess,) but we can speculate different ways this movie could set up the plot for any upcoming sequels.
