44. Billy Lynn€™s Long Half-Time Walk

Ang Lee seems intent on proving that he is not a man for genre restrictions: having made a superhero movie, an explosive romance and a period drama among others, he's now turning his hand to war comedy drama with this adaptation of the award-winning novel by Ben Fountain.

The story sees a small group of surviving soldiers sent back to the US after their heroics in a battle in Iraq and treated like heroes only for it to be revealed that they have to return to their tours of duty. That particularly affects Billy Lynn, who suffers revelations about his family, gets into fights, falls in love and is haunted by the ghost of a dead comrade (Vin Diesel's Shroom), as he criticises how the government treats soldiers.

It sounds intriguing to say the least, and there's a great cast in there, also including Steve Martin, Chris Tucker, Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund.
