6 Actors Who Nearly Died Filming 2015's Biggest Movies

1. Terence Stamp Broke His Pelvis, Two Ribs & Ripped A Tendon (And Was Almost Crushed By A Horse) - The Devil's Harvest

Like Beasts Of No Nation, The Devil's Harvest isn't out yet, but given that it's scheduled for release in 2015 and is set to star veteran actor Terence Stamp, Samantha Barks (from Les Miserables), Aneurin Barnard and Barry Pepper, it's a motion picture to be excited for. It's also the movie that near-on killed Stamp. Now, Terence Stamp seems like somebody who can handle himself, of course (he was bloody Zod in Superman, after all), so you can trust that he's not exaggerating when he himself says that he almost died whilst shooting the movie. He outlines the incident that broke his pelvis in six places, two ribs and ripped a tendon in his arm (!) as follows:
"My horse had a habit, when I brought it to a stop, of lifting its front legs up. On my last day, I brought it to a stop but slid off the back... I looked up and saw that this horse, which weighed half a ton, had lost its balance and was going to fall directly on me. If it had landed any further up, it would have killed me."
Still, he had a sense of humour about it afterwards, even if the incident did come close to taking his life: "I always imagined that my last thoughts would be somehow profound," he added, "but what went through my mind was, €œDistinguished actor killed by horse€™s arse.'"
