6 Awesome Villain Ideas For A Blade Reboot Movie

Morbius anyone?

1998's Blade movie was undoubtedly the trigger that instigated the current huge popularity being enjoyed by comic book movies as a genre - the pioneer of the modern comic book movie, so to speak. It was swiftly followed by fellow Marvel offerings X-Men (2000) and Spider-Man (2002) and the rest is history. Such was Blade's success, it spawned two sequels - 2002's Blade II and 2004's Blade: Trinity - and a 2006 television series (Blade: The Series) that was set in the same continuity as the movies, albeit starring a different actor (Wesley Snipes was replaced by Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones). However, it has been ten years since the last movie and the television series did pretty badly performance wise (it was cancelled after one season because of poor ratings). Sticky Fingaz certainly won't be asked to return and, at 51 years old, Wesley Snipes' vampire hunting days are over. So how about a Blade reboot? Bringing Blade in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems like a great idea. Marvel already know the character can be a success on screen and bringing him in to an already established and successful franchise seems like a perfect recipe for further success. But Blade's rogues gallery is hardly a who's who of villains and some of them have already been used quite recently, so who would be the thorn in his side should a reboot occur? Let's take a look at some potential ideas. Here are six awesome villain ideas for a Blade reboot movie (note there are some spoilers for the current Marvel Cinematic Universe in this article)...
