6 Best & 6 Worst Comic Book Movie Performances Of 2016

6 Best

6. Viola Davis - Amanda Waller (Suicide Squad)

Amanda Waller Suicide Squad
Warner Bros.

Viola Davis' Amanda Waller is the best comic book villain of the year by some distance. The boss to Joel Kinnaman's feeble Rick Flag, Waller is the kind of villain the DC cinematic universe needs and is far worse than any of the so-called bad-guys that make up the titular Suicide Squad.

Waller is a terrifyingly devious presence who exudes power and cruelty and Davis plays the part with an evil twinkle in her eye, clearly enjoying the uncompromising pain that her methods bring to those around her as rooms full of people are executed at her whim.

Amanda Waller could have been a typical bad-guy, but thankfully in the hands of Viola Davis Waller is a b*tch we love to hate, which really is the best kind of bad-guy. More of her in the DCEU, please.
