Iron-Man-3-Suit-on-the-Couch It's kind of hard to win a race when one is a full lap behind one's opponent. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is embarking on Phase Two while Warner Bros.' proposed DC film universe is still weeks away from releasing its first film in what might eventually go down as Phase One. By the time Warner Bros. gets around to releasing a sequel to Man of Steel, which will be June 2015 at the earliest, Marvel will have already wrapped up its second phase with The Avengers 2 in May 2015. Marvel will roll right into its third phase with Ant-Man just six months later. Warner Bros. could not match the kind of volume in such a short amount of time even if the studio executives really wanted to. It's a real shame, too, because Warner Bros. actually tried to launch a universe that might have helped the studio keep pace with Marvel.
