6 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Theories You Probably Haven’t Heard

3. Luke And Leia Have A Third Sibling

Grammar nazis out there are going to eat this one up with a spoon. This one was discovered by someone over at Mic who clearly obsessed a mite too hard over The Force Awakens' opening crawl. You see, the paragraph being scrutinised is written as follows;
'With the support of the REPUBLIC, General Leia Organa leads a brave RESISTANCE. She is desperate to find her brother Luke and gain his help in restoring peace and justice to the galaxy.'
The problem, it seems, is the lack of a comma before and after 'Luke'. Apparently, his name is "unnecessary information", because as far as we know, Leia only has one brother, right? So, referring to 'her brother Luke' implies that she has more than one. And with that, the minute detail that fans are scrutinising this movie in just went fully off the deep-end. Of course, this is probably just an easy-to-miss error, caused by editors who didn't pay enough attention in English Lang, but it could also be JJ Abrams hiding a clue in plain sight for us. Where exactly this seemingly unnecessary plot development would go is anyone's guess. Abrams, in any event, lost all of our trust when he kept Khan's obvious identity from us, making fans the world over think they were going insane. So we won't necessarily trust a glaring oversight like this to grammatical wrongdoing, will we? No, sir.
