7 Awesome James Bond Fan Theories That Actually Improve The Films

The name's Holmes. Sherlock Holmes.

Fans are a curious breed, especially when they begin delving far further into their favourite fictional worlds than was ever intended. Some might consider it to be fanatical lunacy, but their obsessing has actually given some interesting things to think about, particularly when it comes to the James Bond films. Nobody's going to argue that the Bond films aren't full of plot holes. After fifty years and six official actors, there's bound to be a few grey areas in continuity and story, but diligent fans are forever ready and waiting to fill those holes in with their own theories. Who is James Bond? Is he one person? With six faces, how can he be? And if he is, is he aware that he hasn't aged a bit since 1962? He hasn't noticed that the registration plate on his Aston Martin keeps changing, so maybe he hasn't noticed the calendar either. Some believe Bond to be some kind of superhuman being with control over time, whereas others have suggested that he is in fact multiple agents, each assigned the codename "James Bond". Whether you care to take any of the following theories with a pinch of salt or not, read on with an open mind. The wonderful thing about a cinematic franchise like 007 is that very little is set in stone, and much of it is open to interpretation. Here, in all their controversial glory, are the very best of those interpretations.
