7 C-List Superheroes Who Need Their Own Movies

3 It€™s hard to believe that a decade and a half ago, studios were afraid to make superhero movies. They thought they wouldn€™t turn in a profit, that the public would have no interest in them. Funny how things change. Many wait in anticipation for the next big superhero films. They all talk about what heroes they want to see on the screen next, regardless of whether or not they€™ve graced the silver screen before. Wonder Woman, Flash, and Deadpool are often brought up when fans thirst for new blood. There are plenty of A-list heroes who need a film. Still, with Marvel releasing their Guardians of the Galaxy film, it€™s clear there are numerous C-List superheroes no one talks about who could make great films. Let€™s talk about them...

7. Spawn

To be fair, there was a Spawn film, but it was€ well, less said the better. That said, it€™s hard to believe that Spawn, once the face of Image Comics, faded into obscurity. It makes sense if you think about it, though. Spawn was a product of the 90€™s, and died with the 90€™s. An edgy and dark anti-hero became a cliché. Over time, the story became too ridiculous for its own good, and the dramatic tension that drove the series forward originally - a damned soul torn between good and evil - was forgotten. The appeal died. Still, there€™s no reason they can€™t make him relevant again. Characters like Blade and Hellboy have proven that supernatural heroes can be successfully adapted with their extensive mythos intact. The movie would need to be a revenge drama focusrf on Al Simmons€™ character arc. Will he make the right decision, or play into Malebolgia€™s hand? Blur the line between hero and villain. Take the subject matter seriously. Make Hell terrifying. If they succeed there, then you have a success on your hands. €just don€™t adapt anything after the Malebolgia arc€
