7 Comic Book Movies That Deserve A Reboot (And 6 That Don’t)

7. Blade

blade Blade was one of the first successful comic book movies of the modern era - the first instalment coming back in 1998 - and the trilogy was incredibly popular. The third and final film of the trilogy - Blade: Trinity - was released in 2004, meaning that almost ten years have passed since. Wesley Snipes, the titular star of the trilogy, is now 51 years old and starting to show his age somewhat, so a sequel is out of the question. But, amidst a popular flurry of Marvel movies and the constant expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it could be a great time to start over. In the comics, Blade is not unfamiliar with S.H.I.E.L.D - in fact the organisation has a very keen interest in him - so there is no reason he couldn't be seamlessly embedded in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We have aliens, magic and super-powered technology in the Marvel Cinematic Universe already, so why not introduce vampires?
