Long before American Pie introduced us to pubic hairy wedding cake and sex pie, and the Wayans brothers were making spoofs of spoofs of spoof movies, Monty Python did gross out comedy with far more intellect and nuance than any since. And the morbidly obese Mr Creoste from The Meaning Of Life also offered a smart commentary on capitalism and excess, if you really want to pick away at his fatty surface.
