7. How I Met Your Mother
Just beating out
The Doctor's Yoda impersonation for a place on my list, is an epic rant from the 4th season of How I Met Your Mother, taken from the season premiere "Do I Know You?", in which Ted learns that his new fiancée, Stella, has never seen Star Wars (A New Hope). The film of course happens to be his favourite of all time, and Stella liking or not liking the movie could be a marriage breaker. Ted is egged on by Marshall in, what is for me, the highlight of the series. This had to kick off the list, as any fanboy has the same reaction when they learn that someone has not seen Star Wars: "She's never seen Star Wars? Ted, the only people in the universe who have never seen Star Wars are the characters in Star Wars and that's cause they lived them, Ted, that's cause they lived the Star Wars." It is a neat monologue from Marshall and makes me smile every time I watch this episode. A nerd rant had to be in here somewhere, and I believe this would do any fanboy proud.
