A fanboy is usually in love with something to such a degree that they refuse to acknowledge change or adaptation. They pick holes in everything if it does not meet their standards or preconceived notions, ruining the possibility of enjoyment for themselves and others. Not to forget that their requests and expectations are usually insane and idiotic - things that nobody in their right mind could or would come to believe possible. The next few years of blockbusters seem designed with fanboys in mind, of course; major franchises are unveiling some of the biggest and most long-awaited movies of all-time, and the expectations are huge - even for your regular cinema-goer.
