7 Reasons Why Disney Owning All Marvel Film Franchises Is A Bad Idea
Fans hope Marvel will regain their biggest properties, but maybe it’s better they don’t.
Disney and Marvel Studios are absolutely crushing it lately with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guardians of the Galaxy, which was perhaps the riskiest picture from Marvel to date, has proven to be a very smart move, coming out as the clear winner of the summer. Marvel, however, still lacks the rights to some of their biggest propertiesnamely the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man. While X-Men: Days of Future Past has been very well-received, each piece of news released regarding Foxs Fantastic Four reboot proves to be more disheartening than the last. And The Amazing Spider-Man 2s underperformance at the box office has led Sony to delay the third installment and the Sinister Six spin-off. All of this has led to numerous discussions among fans about how Marvel and Disney can get back some of their biggest properties. Many fans express a desire to see a Marvel Cinematic Universe that includes the mutants, Marvels first family, and the wall-crawler. But though this would certainly mean better movies featuring those characters from Marvel Studios, would Disney regaining these properties be a good thing for the superhero movie genre as a whole? Here are some reasons why Disney should NOT get back those properties.
