7. Tom Hardy - Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is set to hang up his claws and bring to an end what will be a seventeen year stint as Wolverine in 2017. He's been fantastic, but a great way to refresh the character after that happens would be to bring him over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While that's by no means a certainty to happen, it's a definite possibility and that will mean looking for a new actor to take on the role of character if and when he joins up with the Avengers. Tom Hardy has recently been linked to the role and, frankly, he'd be awesome. Hardy gets totally stuck in to every part he plays - his performance as Charles Bronson, for example, was brilliant - so can you imagine the intensity he would bring to the role of Wolverine? As good as Jackman has been, his portrayal is very different to the gruff version in the comics. The shorter, stockier and frankly more frightening Hardy would be very different and, frankly, even better than Jackman. As the potential new face of the MCU, he would bring some potentially award-winning quality and character acting to the franchise.
