8 Actors Who Should Come Out Of Retirement For One Last Role

1. Rick Moranis

For a large chunk of the 80s, Rick Moranis had a place in everyone's heart as the dorky but extremely affable nerd. He was the world's favorite pushover, a sad sack with a heart of gold that weaseled his way into our hearts with iconic performances in Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors, and Spaceballs. And then he abruptly moved into family movie territory with Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and its sequels, thus giving us all the reason we needed to forget about him entirely. With the exception of some voice work, Moranis' last role was alongside Tom Arnold in 1996's objectively awful Big Bully. That's not the legacy Bob McKenzie deserves. And it's not one we should accept. Moranis obviously looks a little older now than he did two decades ago, but those signature duck lips are all an audience needs to immediately recognize the man behind one half of the Strange Brew team. And let's not kid ourselves, no one wants to see him take the serious route with a return in a holocaust movie. Still, it would be nice to get him back to his roots, with something a bit...darker. I, for one, think that if the new Ghostbusters film proves to be a bust (and plans for a sequel are buried), it would be nice to get some of the original gang back together for a TV series. It could even follow in the footsteps of American Horror Story, with Moranis's character from the original films being the focus for just the first season, as a way to bridge the gap between a new franchise and the old. Then do whatever you want with it. But make The Keymaster visible again!
