8 Actors You Didn't Know Hated Their Own Great Movies

7. Katherine Heigl Thinks That Knocked Up Is Sexist & Doesn't Like The Character She Agreed To Play For All That Money

Knocked up Katherine Heigl is an actress, apparently, though you probably weren't too sure about that because you've only seen one movie with her in it, and that movie was Knocked Up. The reason you haven't seen anything else with Katherine Heigl in it? Because you saw the posters and you instinctively knew that they were terrible, because they were movies with Katherine Heigl in them. Anyway, Katherine Heigl doesn't like Knocked Up, and she wants you to know that. I've got no problem with an actor or an actress coming out and saying that they don't like a movie that they were in, but this one doesn't feel right to me. In the aftermath of Knocked Up's release, Heigl went on to say: " is a little sexist. It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. It exaggerated the characters, and I had a hard time with it, on some days." For the record, I don't think Knocked Up is sexist at all, but why did she agree to be in the movie and get paid money for doing it if she didn't agree with the way it portrayed women? Seems a little fishy to me, almost like you don't deserve to have an opinion, Katherine. Ironically, this is actually the best movie that she's has ever been in, and the only one where she gives a tolerable and rather likeable performance. She also went on to star in a terrible movie called The Ugly Truth, which was panned for being - wait for it - totally misogynist. Derp.
