Release: TBC

With Phil Lord and Chris Miller enjoying the plaudits of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and the second LEGO Movie (which they also produced), it's inevitable that their upcoming projects are under lots of excited scrutiny too.

Like Jordan, they're tackling a book adaptation, though their choice - Lee Bacon's The Last Human - hasn't even been released yet and won't be out until October. It's attracted lots of heat according to THR, amidst whispers of a bidding war. The film will be called Human and is set after a robot apocalypse, 30 years after the extinction of humanity and stars a robot, called XR_935, who finds a human the same age as him (12) who has spent her life hidden in an underground bunker hidden from the machines.

They become friends and set out on a journey to a mysterious point on a map, which sounds delightful, particularly when you combine it with Lord and Miller's approach to story-telling.
