8 Great Side Characters From M. Night Shyamalan Movies

8. The Pharmaceutical Check Out Girls From Signs

35002-25676 Character Name: Tracey Abernathy Actress Name: Merritt Wever I really dig this character right here because she seems so real but at the same time M. Night Shyamalan exaggerates her just a slight bit to make her a bit of a caricature. Consequently she isn't just another annoying pharmacy person like you've seen so much in movies and real life but the most boring tedious and hilariously fatalistic, pharmacy girl you ever seen. W hen I saw Signs in theaters her character by far got the best reception. Her dialogue and back and forth with Mel Gibson's character Graham Hess (who derseved an Oscar for his measure performance) was one of the many comedic highlights of the film. You can almost feel how uncomfortable Graham is just sitting there waiting and listening. Best of all the scene gets a great payoff later on when the Hess family reconveines at the pizza place. (4:09, 8:16 for Tracey's scenes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqXdqAP9GW0

Raymond Woods is too busy watching movies to give you a decent bio. If he wasn't too busy watching movies and reading books about movies and listening to podcasts about movies, this is what he'd tell you. "I know more about film than you. Accept this as a fact and we might be able to talk."
