8 Great Side Characters From M. Night Shyamalan Movies

7. The Comic Book Guy From Unbreakable

unbreakable comic shop Character Name: Comic Book Clerk Actor Name: Bostin Christopher You get the feeling watching this scene that the world's of M. Night Shyamalan and Kevin Smith have somehow collided. You marvel at how easily M. Night is able to channel the voice and personality of so many different character types both stereotypical and realistic. Here he is able to give the viewer a great cinematic representation of the stereotypical comic book guy. In other words he's crafted a character who is a fat, sloppy, and crude slacker. He was just going along minding his own business until the weird world of M. Night Shyamalan collided with his. Seeing him go toe to toe with Samuel L. Jackson's Mr. Glass (who is great in this scene and the whole movie) provides some much needed levity in a film that while awesome can be very heavy viewing for the average audience member. Nonetheless, regardless of the films pedigree, its a great scene. I still quote the "I need to get some chicken in me" line till this very day. Good stuff.

Raymond Woods is too busy watching movies to give you a decent bio. If he wasn't too busy watching movies and reading books about movies and listening to podcasts about movies, this is what he'd tell you. "I know more about film than you. Accept this as a fact and we might be able to talk."
