Batman V Superman: 8 Major Reveals From The New Images

4. About That Dream Sequence...

While most of us suspected that it was a dream sequence and not some sort of flashforward to the events of Justice League, Empire confirms that those desert set scenes are indeed Bruce Wayne's nightmares. They don't shed a lot of light on their importance in the movie, but do describe a scene with, "Batman shouldering a machine gun, unbowed through the blizzard to greet an armoured juggernaut pulling up in a desert compound that's walled with rusty containers." The fact that the soldiers within that structure are wearing Superman logos on their uniforms and later capture Batman for him to be unmasked by their leader obviously points to the sequence being a way of showing just how worried Bruce is about what the Man of Steel could do to the world if he's left unchecked. However, it's also confirmed that this all takes place in the fictional nation of Kandahar, somewhere which has factored into the Justice League's adventures on many occasions (and also has some interesting links to characters like Shazam and Black Adam). Could its magical properties have something to do with why Bruce gets a glimpse of a certain villain from outer space? I'll get to that a little later...
