Coming with a bit of an identity crisis even beforeany adaptation can take place, Disney elected to grab the costume from the game's gritty sequel, Warrior Within, but still have a more friendly face like the 2003 Prince take up the role.

The result was Jake Gyllenhaal, a man who besides only looking physically intimidating if his presence comes with a side of shoe-gazing menace a la Nightcrawler, couldn't pull off a confident English accent to save his life.

Looking more like someone cosplaying the Prince of Persia than the anything more genuine, Gyllenhaal hit the gym hard for this role, but the final product had many audiences laughing, despitenot being a comedy.
