8 Movies That Have Been Annoyingly Over-Quoted

Aaa1 There's something incredibly annoying about people who feel the need to overuse quotes from popular films. It's essentially a way to let people know that you've seen a film and are therefore cool, but the problem is that everyone's probably seen that movie, so all you're doing is repeating a line that has been done to death. Especially when it requires an accent. Or comic timing that you just don't have. So the next time you feel the need to go on a quoting spree, ask yourself one simple question: If I say this, will I sound like a douchebag? If the answer's yes, resist the temptation to say it. Save it for your family or girlfriend...people who are obligated to love you. Here's a list of the top ten movies that I think we've all heard quoted quite enough in our lifetime.

8. The Terminator

Specifically, "Hasta la vista, baby." I know that everyone thinks they can do a really good Schwarzenegger impression, but nine out of ten times it's just painful. Arnold himself only gets away with that voice because if you laughed at him he could squash you like a bug. So your chances of getting out of this quoting situation with dignity intact are pretty close to zero. "I'll be back," and "Come with me if you want to live," under this category as well. It's been done to death, and the only reason the first two are even remotely quotable are because everyone seems to think that Arnold's accent is hilarious. Which it is, don't get me wrong. But only when trained professionals do it.
