8 Reasons Batman V Superman Will Top Captain America: Civil War

Why Captain America V Iron Man simply can't come close to Batman V Superman.

Hero vs Hero battles have always been a big topic of debate, and it's something which will be addressed twice next year when Captain America and Iron Man clash in Civil War and Batman and Superman come to blows in Dawn Of Justice. You'd think that seeing what was once a playground fantasy become a reality would keep everyone happy, but in actuality more time has been spent arguing about which movie will "win" instead of which of the heroes will come out on top in their respective duels!

Batman V Superman has of course already lost the battle of the release dates after backing down to Marvel's first Phase 3 movie, but that has only served to add fuel to the fire as the debate among fanboys about which movie will emerge as the victor both critically and commercially rages on.

And, while both have their plus points, Batman V Superman sticks out as being the more must-see of the two. It unites two of the world’s most iconic superheroes and marks the first step in plans to launch a DC Cinematic Universe. Warners need to get this movie right, and all of the signs suggest they have.

Marvel has been there and done that with The Avengers, so why can't they top Batman v Superman? Well, there eight massive reasons for starters. Here's why the DC Comics movie will be the one to rise from this battle with Marvel as the clear winner!

8. It's More Highly Anticipated

Civil War was released in 2006, and when Captain America and Iron Man crossed words in The Avengers six years later, fans were immediately fantasising about them actually coming to blows in an adaptation of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's comic book series.

There's no denying, then, that Captain America: Civil War is a movie which fans are looking forward to. But Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has been in the works for a much longer time. Numerous attempts have been made to make bring it to the screen, and those failed on so many occasions that the two iconic DC superheroes sharing the screen appeared to become one of those things which would simply never happen.

That why the Comic-Con announcement back in 2013 was so huge, and the sheer level of anticipation surrounding it is going to have a huge impact on the box office.

Even those who don't read comics can appreciate how significant Batman and Superman appearing in the same movie is, while the fact that they're going to fight obviously ups the curiosity factor in a major way.

Moviegoers have seen The Avengers plenty of times (and they've seen them fight each other more than once), so the excitement surrounding Dawn Of Justice will definitely give it the edge over Civil War.
