8 Unconfirmed (But 100% Happening) Upcoming Movies

7. Man Of Steel 2

"But isn't Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice the Man Of Steel sequel?" you shout at your computer screen in the early throws of insanity. But while the film known around the DC offices as "If this doesn't work we're f**ked" certainly started life as a follow-up to Zack Sndyer's Supes reboot, only with added Dark Knight, through it's lengthy and highly public production it's evolved into something more. In the end, Dawn Of Justice will be as much a Man Of Steel sequel as Prometheus is an Alien prequel; only on a fan-pushed technicality. That leaves the door open for a proper, stand-alone sequel later on down the road. Due to the specific-picture contracts the major franchise stars are tied into, having every movie be an epic crossover is not all that viable - you burn through assets way too quickly (hence why Robert Downey, Jr. appearing in Captain America: Civil War is such a big deal) - making another Man Of Steel-style movie an inevitability. Of course, the movie won't be called Man Of Steel 2 (numbers are so noughties), but with Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne shaping up to take much of Batman V Superman's focus, it would mark a chance to properly explore the status quo of the new Clark Kent (for the five people out there who liked the first one). If Doomsday doesn't rear his potentially Michael Shannon shaped head in Dawn Of Justice, then it's highly probable this movie (rumoured to arrive a year ahead of The Batman) could deal with The Death Of Superman arc, serving as a nice bridge between the two Justice League movies.
