8 Upcoming Superhero Movies Guaranteed To Make A Billion Dollars

6. Justice League: Part 1

While each of Marvel's movies had done respectable numbers, not one of them had come close to $1 billion, never mind the $1.5 billion earned by The Avengers. That was a gamble for the studio at the time, and one which not only paid off, but also proved that a shared Cinematic Universe is something that works.

Warner Bros. are currently playing catch up and will only really have Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice to set up Justice League, not a string of solo movies as Marvel did. Even so, seeing heroes as iconic as those who make up this team all in the same movie is likely going to result in it being an even bigger draw than The Avengers was.

Sure, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman will all share the screen next year (which does dampen the excitement around Justice League at least a fraction), but there are still plenty of other great heroes to throw into the mix, including Aquaman, Cyborg, Green Lantern, and The Flash.

Providing the studio builds the 2017 movie up to be one of the biggest cinematic events of all-time, Justice League is going to breeze past the $1 billion mark, and might just end up crushing both of The Avengers if Batman V Superman ends up being well-received early next year.

It's taken long enough, but Marvel Studios might finally have some serious competition...
