Avengers: Age of Ultron was a hit with over $1.4 billion worldwide, but fans and analysts alike were shocked that it didn't surpass the amount earned by The Avengers in 2012. With a haul like that, Marvel probably aren't even remotely bothered, but you have to believe that they would like to see Avengers: Infinity War do even bigger numbers. It reaching $1 billion is a given, but what about $2 billion?

The problem with that is the fact that the movie is being split into two with only a year between each part. That means Marvel will need to pull out the big guns to ensure moviegoers don't decide to wait until Part 2 hits (another guaranteed $1 billion movie) to pick up the first instalment on DVD or Blu-ray.

Seeing as Spider-Man and The Defenders (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist from the Netflix shows) are expected to show up alongside the likes of Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Doctor Strange while classic Avengers like Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor are all being held back for Part 2, this movie is going to be fresh enough to viewers to result in the same sort of increased level of interest which The Avengers benefited from in 2012.

However, if the big three are going to reunite in Part 2, it's that grand finale which is probably going to take aim at $2 billion!
