A week out of Halloween, the worlds of big and small screen haven't yet calmed down with the odd, confusing and sometimes brilliant announcements and revelations.

In the same week that some Garbage Pail Kids cards celebrating Stranger Things were released and the first trailer for Andy Serkis' Jungle Book movie revealed some... weird CGI and voice choices, there were big announcements for huge comic book movie franchises, two of the biggest TV shows of the modern era and the promise of wild, unbridled fish on fish action.

Behold, this week's edition of the most Insane Things Happening In Movies & TV, starting with a weird over-reaction by pretty much everyone...

9. Everyone Thinks Eggsy Won't Return For Kingsman's Next Sequel

Taron Egerton has set tongues flapping all over the Internet - and particularly among Kingsman fans - by suggesting that he's not coming back for the next Kingsman sequel. He spoke to Yahoo while promoting Robin Hood to confirm as much:

“I’m not in the new Kingsman. That doesn’t mean I won’t ever be in Kingsman ever again. I was with Matthew as little as a few days ago. I’ve got a missed call from him this morning. We’re very much still in business together. It’s just that his next journey in that universe doesn’t involve me.”

Cue wailing and the collective gnashing of teeth from every corner, as if he's saying he's not in Kingsman III. Surely, this can't be true? How could a Kingsman sequel work without its lead? Well, that question doesn't even need to be asked, because Egerton is clearly talking about the Kingsman prequel, rather than the third in the modern timeline, which he definitely will be back for.

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet, kids.
